Dr Marchbank is a Consultant Radiologist in Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals Trust. He has worked as a Consultant in Sussex since 1997, having previously worked at Eastbourne. He did his medical training at Guy's Hospital in London, qualifying in 1987. Following medical jobs in Birmingham, London and Brighton he trained as a Radiologist in London, working at many hospitals, including St George's, Royal Marsden Hospital, Brompton Hospital, Great Ormond Street, Atkinson Morley Hospital and Guildford.  He specialises in oncological imaging. 

 

Dr Marchbank has been Medical Director of the Sussex Cancer Network since April 2003. Prior to taking on this role he was Chair of both the Radiology Action Group and the Gynaecology Tumour Group.

 

In April 2007 he was elected as Chair of the National Cancer Network’s Medical Directors Group. He is also a member of the Cancer Reform Strategy Advisory Board.
